Laird of Darkness

Half-Fae Laird Duncan MacDougall is cursed. His nights are haunted by Otherworld creatures sent to kill him. The only way to stop them is to possess the magic bow currently in the hands of his enemy half brother, Kinnon MacClaren. In desperation, Duncan plans to take MacClaren's bride-to-be hostage and exchange her for the bow.
Lady Alana Forbes has never met her intended, but she hopes he is handsome—and a good lover, for Alana is no innocent virgin. On her way to Castle Claren, Alana and her escorts are intercepted, and she is kidnapped by a man with extraordinary abilities—and every attribute she longs for in a mate.
Duncan didn't expect the woman he thought of as a mere pawn to be so beautiful, and so arousing. Alana is drawn to him as well—but Duncan still needs the bow, and Alana is betrothed to another. How far will Alana go to save the life of the man she's come to love?

You all know I love my highlander books and this one looked to have it all....Highlanders, Hostage taking, Romance, and Fae magic.....well???
I must admit I like the story as it did start off rather strong with the taking of Lady Alana by Duncan MacDougall. I enjoyed the Strong sex scenes, between Alana and Duncan, that did not disappoint as this is described as an erotic story. I thought it was funny when MacClaren's men took Sophie instead and how Kinnon handled it.
I'm am truly glad how this story worked out and did in fact find it to be a rather nice read.......However....
What I didn't like is how it ended....Really???
Did the brothers ever meet? Did Lady Alana go back and check on Sophie???
I mean we were told about their history, it would have only have been fair to have at least have known how they ended up (on terms of brothers).
An epilogue would have been really nice in this story even if it just a little one.
